Weekly Wisdom for 15 feb 2008

Last week I promised to start writing a BLOG post about what interested me this week (Which article HTC Touch Cruise Samrtphoneand information did  I read this week???), but I must admit that the list is not that long this week…

I will be leaving Capgemini as of April 1st 2008, and start working as a Freelance BI consultant / Contracter for DIKW Consultancy BV. This implies I have to do a lot of preparations, because laptop, mobile phone, lease car, financial insurances, etc., etc. will not be arranged by the company any more…

My first gadget in this preparation is a smartphone. I now have a Nokia 6230 (Capgemini Phone) and a HP iPaq HX4700 (Private PDA with TOMTOM), and wanted to have a all-in-one device. My choice, after heavy reading, was the HTC Touch Cruise. So the information I have been reading is not Business Intelligence related, but… smartphone related, namely the manual of this UberDevice.

As you might have read on my BLOG, I am interested in the capability of these devices presenting Business Intelligence. In nov. 2007 I wrote an article about Apple and Business Intelligence and beginning of this year there was news from Cognos being able to facilite these devices. So in the coming periode I hope to provide you with some nice information from the device and the possibilities for Business Intelligence…

So put this BLOG is your RSS feed if you like this kind of information.
